Coat of Arms

Located in the center of the County, Águeda is bathe by the rivers Águeda and Alfusqueiro.
Águeda is located close to the main communication roads which link the North to the South, and the coast to the interior. This feature has given to the city a predominantly commercial view, to which the industry would later join.
The coat of arms of the parish of Águeda has a shield of silver, and a tree with a rounded crown, plucked from the green, and between a red gear wheel, and a frame of a black noria; and in chief, a bunch of purple grapes, with green leaves; wavy blue and silver; mural crown of silver of three towers. And a white pennant with the legend in black, in capital letters: "ÁGUEDA".
