If you have a dangerous or potentially dangerous dog, how should you act?

What is the transponder / microchip?

Usually referred to as a microchip, a transponder is a passive radio frequency identification device, reserved for reading, consisting of 15 numeric digits in accordance with ISO 11784/11785.

Which animals are required to apply a transponder / microchip?

All dogs, cats and ferrets must be marked with a transponder / microchip and registered with SIAC.

What is SIAC registration?

Registration is done only once and consists of a set of information collected at SIAC, namely: - elements related to the number of the transponder / microchip; - animal review elements (most relevant aspects and properties); - identification of the holder of the animal and its contact details; - identification of the veterinarian who marks the animal and its contacts; - as well as other particularities or characteristics and official preventive health measures or relevant information that have been associated with the animal.

What documents are required to obtain a hunting dog license?

- Health Bulletin with valid rabies vaccination; - Proof of electronic identification (SIAC registration form); - Citizen card or identity card of the holder and taxpayer number; - Hunter card updated;
