According to the Law 75/2013 of 12 September it is up to the Parish Assembly:

• Approve the options of the plan and the budget proposal, as well as its revisions;
• Assess inventory of assets, rights and equity instruments and their evaluation, as well as to evaluate and vote on the accountability documents;
• Authorize the Parish Council to contract loans and to make credit facilities;
• Approve the rates and the prices of the Parish and to set a respective value;
• To authorize the acquisition, alienation or encumbrance of real estate with a value exceeding 145.500 € and set its general terms and conditions, and may deteminate resource to public auction;
• Approve the external regulations;
• Authorise contracts celebration for the delegation of powers and agreements between the parish council and the municipal council, as well as the respetive resolution and, in case of delegation of powers contracts, their revocation;
• Authorise the signing of protocols for the delegation of administrative tasks between the parish council and residents organisations;
• Authorize the celebration of protocols with public and private institutions and with cooperatives that are developing their activity in territorial constituency of the parish, particularly when the equipment involved is property of the parish and safeguard its use by the local community;
• Authorize the parish to establish forms of cooperation with public or private entities;
• Authorize the parish to constitute the associations of the parish;
• Approve the map of the staff of the parish;
• Approve the creation and reorganisation of the services of the parish;
• Authorize the celebration of protocols of twinning, friendship, cooperation or partnership between parishes with affinities, both at the level of their denominations, the parish body, or to other characteristics of cultural, economic, historic or geographic nature.

It is also incumbent to the parish assembly:
• Accept donations, legacies and inheritances to the benefit of inventory;
• Establish the general standards of the patrimony administration of the parish or under their jurisdiction;
• Meet and take a position on final reports resulting from tutelary actions or audits performed on the activity of the parish bodies and services;
• Appreciate, in each of the ordinary sessions, a written notice of the president of the parish regarding the activities and financial situation of the parish;
• Discuss, at the request of any of the holders of the right of opposition, the report referred to in the Statute of the Right of Opposition;
• Approve the locals referendums;
• Appreciate the refusal to provide any information or the refusal of delivery of documents by the parish council or of its members, which constitute an obstacle to the realization of follow-up actions and monitoring;
• Monitor and supervise the activitie of the parish council;
• Pronounce and deliberate on all the affairs aimed at the achievement of the tasks of the parish;
• Pronounce and deliberate on all matters of interest to the Parish, on its own initiative or upon request of the parish council;
• Exercise other powers conferred by law.
