Vincentian Conference of Staª Eulália - Águeda

The Vincentian Conference of Staª Eulália de Águeda is made up of a group of lay Catholics exclusively from Águeda who has been working for more than 60 years, collaborating with the most needy, most disadvantaged people, namely with the donation of food, medicines, clothing and in occasional cases with the payment of house rents. The work carried out is based on a survey of the most needy families and according to the possibilities they are dividing the goods that arrive. However, the most problematic cases are referred to specialized institutions closer to the people concerned. Campaigns are carried out in partnership with the Food Bank, through annual fees, by companies, by trade. They also make a monthly pedestrian in the Church of Águeda, at the end of the masses. The greatest demand goes to the food area, aid for the payment of medicines, electricity, water, and also for requests for help with charges on household income.
