Abashalom is an IPSS (Private Institution of Social Solidarity) of a social nature, located 3 km from Águeda, in Vale Domingos, a region in need by nature. It opened its doors on June 26, 2006 and was inaugurated by Dr. Pedro Marques, then Secretary of State for Social Security. Currently, it is operating with a daycare center, according to the ISS agreement for 58 users. It aims to satisfy local needs, being as close to the community as possible. In this context, they support around 58 families together with the Food Bank against the Hunger of Aveiro and the Social Security Program (PCAAC). They consider themselves a small family that wants to grow, opening new horizons for more social responses.
