The Portuguese Red Cross strives to prevent and alleviate human suffering, in Portugal and in the world. It is the mission of the Portuguese Red Cross to provide humanitarian and social assistance, especially to the most vulnerable, preventing and repairing suffering and contributing to the defense of life, health and human dignity. For the development of our activity, we mobilized the "Power of Humanity", as well as the generosity of donors and partners across the country. As the National Society of the International Movement of the Portuguese Red Cross and the Red Crescent, we act with respect for the fundamental principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, volunteering, unity and universality.
