The Conservatory of Music of Águeda, constituted as an Association by deed of January 27, 1995, is a private teaching establishment endowed with pedagogical autonomy, headquartered at Casa do Adro, city, parish and municipality of Águeda. It began its journey in the academic year 1994/1995, with an average of 250 students annually, who are distributed in the courses of singing, clarinet, bassoon, transverse flute, classical guitar, aboé, double bass, cello, viola d´arco, violin and musical initiation. As part of the faculty 30 teachers, the conservatory promotes free courses, pedagogical concerts, Christmas, Carnival and Easter auditions, master classes, technical improvement courses and other events that benefit the county's cultural environment throughout the school year.
